After 99 days of entertainment in the Big Brother Naija house, the show that began with twenty-one housemates has finally come to an end this Sunday, October 5, 2019.
Out of 21 housemates and about five others that were introduced during the show, only five remain in the house. The housemates are Mercy, Mike, Frodd, Seyi and Omashola.
This season has been interesting for viewers and it has been a roller coaster of ups and downs for housemates from winning cool cash to winning Bet Naija coins, the surprise eviction and even the shocking disqualification of a housemate.
At last, only one housemate can go home with the N60 million cash prize. After a week of campaigning, Nigerians have chosen the last housemate standing.
Recall that five housemates made it through the 99th day of the reality show and they are Frodd, Omashola, Mercy, Seyi and Mike.
The Imo-born reality show star took home the N30m cash prize, a brand new car and other gifts which makes up her winning to N60m. Mike who is the first runner-up was also announced as the winner of the arena games for having the best time, and he took home N2m cash prize.
Mercy is now the first female housemate to win the reality show as its previous winners have all been male housemates.
The 2019 edition of the Big Brother Naija Reality show had over 240 million votes and over 50 million votes were recorded in the last week of the reality show.
MultiChoice Nigeria has also raised the stake this year, for the winner of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) pepper dem series.
