Drake To Donate All Proceeds Of ‘Rock In Rio’ Merchandise To Amazon Rainforest Conservation Efforts

Drake recently had a concert in Brazil and it looks like he’s making sure that he’s giving back. Drake was headlining the ‘Rock In Rio’ concert and decided he’ll be donating all of the proceeds form his merchandise to conservation efforts of the Amazon Rainforest. Last night Drake performed in the beautiful country and thanked them for their hospitality.

If you remember back in August, news surfaced that the Amazon Rainforest had been burning down for weeks. For those who don’t know the Amazon is often referred o as the planet’s lungs as it produces 20% of the oxygen in the Earth’s atmosphere. The news came at a time where many people were worried about how the fires would effect the rest of the planet. Many conservationists and philanthropists took to social media as a call to action to help with relief efforts.

The entire ordeal sparked huge criticism (to say the least) against Brazil’s president, Jair Bolsonaro. With the devastation in the Amazon, there have been multiple conservation teams to try to restore the damage.

Now, we all know Champagne papi is known to be Charity papi! In his God’s Plan video he gave away almost $1M just because he could! An incredible gesture considering he has the funds to do whatever he wants with his money. Drake has been keeping a low profile as of late, seemingly only stepping out when necessary but it’s nice to see he hasn’t forgotten to show love to others.

Hopefully with Drake’s contribution, the finds will continue to help conservation efforts!
