SpongeBob Squarepants has been on-air for the past 20 years, and throughout the years, our favorite cartoon has been able to develop over time with society. Therefore, every time a character from the hit show becomes a meme, it instantly becomes a hit on social media.

Back in June, it was officially announced that Nickelodeon was developing its first SpongeBob prequel, “Kamp Koral.” The new series, which went into production back in June follows a 10-year-old SpongeBob during his experience at sleep away camp. The 13-episode series has yet to receive a release date.

During the initial announcement of the show’s expansion, Ramsey Naito, the EVP of animation production and development at Nickelodeon said, “SpongeBob has an incredible universe to expand upon and the green light for ‘Kamp Koral’ is a testament to the strength and longevity of these characters known and loved by generations of fans around the world.”

Ya’ll know social media sometimes forgets the existence of a chill button, and with this new meme, you’ll definitely get some serious laughs in. So check out how people are making this latest SpongeBob meme relatable.
