Rihanna Reportedly Signs Publishing Deal With Sony Music

it looks like we could be getting that Rihanna album after all! It’s been a long wait, but Rih could be making moves toward a completed project.

According to Billboard, the bad gal has just signed a worldwide deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, which covers her entire songwriting catalog plus any future work she puts out. The agreement reportedly includes “Love on the Brain”, “Needed Me”, “Rude Boy”, and “Work”.

“I’m proud to have known Rihanna since the beginning of her career,” says Sony exec. Jon Platt. “Music, fashion, philanthropy and a heart of gold have solidified Rihanna’s position as one of the biggest icons in the world, It is an honor to be reunited with her at Sony/ATV.”

The Rihanna navy has been waiting for Rihanna’s new album since her last project released back in 2016! As the world’s richest female musician, her music career highlights include 14 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s. and nine Grammy awards. Her last seven album releases have gone 22-times platinum in the United States.

Outside of her music, y’all know Rihanna to be a very successful business woman, as she climbs the ladder in many different industries. She revolutionized the world of beauty when he Fenty makeup line released avast arrays of foundation shades, making room for women of all shades to purchase quality beauty products, Shortly after, the Fenty brand expanded into fashion, where Rih’s lingerie line, Savage x Fenty, sits at the top of women’s list.

Rihanna is also a philanthropy queen! She just capped off her fifth annual Diamond Ball event, which benefits her Harvard award-winning Claral Lionel Foundation. The foundation supports global education, health and emergency response programs.

She is also slated to launch her very own Fenty luxury fashion label with LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and will be the first black woman to do so.
